Chopper Spins Uncontrollably into Palm Trees at Well-Known California Beach
An aircraft soaring near a popular coastal shoreline abruptly started spinning wildly, ultimately losing altitude and plunging into a line of palm fronds as onlookers looked on.
Footage posted on the internet show the helicopter beginning to twirl over the beach then plunging towards the border of the beach, where it ends up lodged among palm trees and a steps near the Pacific Coast highway.
Rescue Operation Details
Local firefighters stated five individuals were rushed to the hospital involving two who were in the aircraft and were “rescued from the debris” after the crash on the weekend.
Three persons on the pavement were hurt. Details on their injuries were not yet released.
The cause of the crash was not immediately released.
