Body Found in Vehicle Linked to Singer D4vd Confirmed as Disappeared Teenager

Authorities in the US have revealed that decomposing remains discovered in a vehicle linked to singer D4vd belong to a missing 15-year-old female.

Law enforcement officers discovered the remains of Celeste Rivas inside the boot of an impounded Tesla on 8 September, after investigating complaints of a strong smell at a Hollywood tow yard.

Investigators indicated that both the manner and time of her demise remain unknown.

Rivas, a resident of Lake Elsinore in California, was 13 at the time of her vanishing and was last seen on 5 April 2024, according to a public flyer.

Previously, police mentioned that the Tesla had probably been at the tow yard for "a couple of days" before the discovery.

The car, which has a Texas license plate, was towed from the Hollywood Hills after being left five days earlier.

The automobile is under the name of 20-year-old David Anthony Burke, the official name of singer D4vd.

Last week, the coroner's office reported that the person whose body were discovered was 157cm tall, had curly black hair, and was wearing a tube top and black pants.

It was added that the remains had a tattoo on the right forefinger that said: "Shhh."

The body were not complete, and it seemed the teen had been deceased for an lengthy period of time, per police insiders.

D4vd, who has millions of fans on online platforms, is most famous for his viral songs "Here With Me" and "Romantic Homicide".

He released his debut album in April and was on tour when the body were found in the Tesla. The concert scheduled show in Seattle on Wednesday was called off.

Authorities state that D4vd is co-operating with the investigation.
